On October 10th, only 16 days after NLVPD killed Darin Dyer, they also murdered Christopher “Manish” Smith. The inaccurate news articles and police narrative describe him as wearing a Michael Myers mask threatening people and pointing guns at customers inside stores nearby. Multiple 911 calls were made and the police stated that he pointed the gun at officers before they killed him. In the body cam footage released it shows Smith running away from the officers. The officer is named Anthony Malear and fired 8 rounds. Killing Chris while he is running away is common in Las Vegas. We are here to offer condolences and support to his family and loved ones.
