We take care of us

Mutual Aid: Building a Self-Reliant Community

We that we take care of ourselves and each other. We meet people where they are, understanding that true solidarity starts within our own communities. By offering mutual aid, we empower folks and families to overcome the hardships created by systemic oppression and work toward self-reliance and community healing.

What We Do:

  • Providing Resources to the Unhoused and Impacted Families: We partner with local organizations like Las Vegas Liberation to provide essential resources to our unhoused neighbors, impacted families, and community members. From food and clothing to hygiene products and shelter, we work together to ensure that everyone has access to the support they need to survive and thrive.

  • Coalition Building and Partnerships: We believe in the power of collective action. Through coalition-building and strategic partnerships, we bring resources and services directly to the community. By working with other organizations and activists, we are able to address the everyday struggles people face due to systemic inequalities, including housing instability, food insecurity, and lack of access to healthcare.

  • Narcan and Medic Training: To further our commitment to community care, we collaborate with organizations like Organize the State Out to provide Narcan training and basic medical training to individuals within the community. By equipping folks with the tools and knowledge to help each other, we instill the critical idea that we take care of us. This training empowers community members to act in times of crisis, ensuring that our neighbors are supported and safe.

Our Approach

Through mutual aid, we create a culture of care, support, and collective responsibility. We reject the idea that survival is an individual struggle and instead embrace the power of community to build resilience. Whether through direct aid, training, or partnership, we are committed to ensuring that no one in our community is left behind. We take care of each other.
